Homes Sales Taste of Charlotte and More

in Charlotte

Convenient Hunter Oaks

Home Closings grew 33% in May 2010- Wow.

The number of single family homes, townhouse and condos closed increased 33% in May of 2010 versus may of 2009,  reported our Realtor association this week.  The median cost per square foot, what the median price home sold,  rose 2.7% over the median of May 2009. Good news indeed.

June will likely be a huge month of closings as well- it is my largest month on record, as a combination of tax credit buyers and distressed property buyers took the field- in some cases taking advantage of both.

Distressed properties are making up a large part of my June- Two short sale closings and one foreclosure- more on those in a coming post.  I expect a short break, then continuing momentum later in the summer.

Taste of Charlotte is this weekend

Take advantage of all the great restaurants in Uptown Charlotte. For $ you’l get token s20 that allow you to try dozens of participating restaurants. It is easy to get to- just drive in Providence Road until you can’t go any further and look for parking- or come in the gateway,  Trade Street off I-77, until you can go no further.

This is a fun way to try many of Charlotte’s best restaurants in just one night.
