Lake Norman is the largest freshwater lake in North Carolina. Stretching along Interstate 77 more than 13 miles, the lower Lake Norman area begins at exit 23 in Huntersville. I call the area from Davidson, exit 30 and below, the lower lake area. Lower Lake Norman consists the1at exit 36 you are 31 miles to Uptown, and the nicest homes are 15-30 minutes off of exit 36 down Brawley School Road.
A large number of people commute from the lower Lake Norman area to uptown Charlotte on a daily basis, only a few commute daily from the upper lake area.
