Charlotte Home Sales Soar in October

Charlotte home sales in October outpaced the national numbers by 30%, as residential single family home sales in Charlotte  grew by 13%, compared to a very robust 10% across the nation as reported yesterday by the NAR, National Association of Realtors. Charlotte Home Sales in October 2009 also far outpaced home closings in October 2008,  19%, roughly the same as the national numbers, indicating the positive effect of first time home buyer tax credit.

Charlotte home prices were also up in October

with average cost per square foot increasing 2.39% over September 2009, but still remaining far off (8%) the October 2008 average of $104.07
