Pending Home Sales UP! Home Closings Up. Home Prices Up 3% over April 2009 in Charlotte

In a month that saw the end to the home buyer tax credits, Charlotte home sales surged ahead in price, units sold and the average home sale price. Condominium and townhouse sales shot up as well- but prices in this category fell from 2009 to 2010.

1st Quarter Charlotte Home Sales

Lets look at single family residences, and compare March and April 2009 to March and April 2010. All figures are from the Carolina MLS,  but not calculated the MLS.

Conditional and Pending sales are up even more in April 2010 over 2009, we’ll be watching to see how many of them close over the next 60 days.

Condo Sales- the MLS category includes townhouses and condominiums, the sales went up,

but as you’ll see below, average prices both by median cost per square foot and median price, these prices fell as well.

Great post… now we just have to get them all closed! Rates have stayed very low so let’s hope this continues.
