I came to this industry from a lifetime in professional sales, owning multiple businesses in everything from advertising to residential construction. I'd sold my own home many times and it was the use of  a well regarded local Realtor to sell my last rental home which made me think about pursuing this career change.  Yes, like many of you I suspect, I thought the bar for success in Real Estate was quite low.  While I was vastly interested in real estate, I was equally determined to find a new way.

I've found it here.  It is the intersection of a very popular relocation city- Charlotte NC- plus the  transformation of the buying process through the Internet,  and the rise of Buyer Agency in North Carolina and a terrific Broker-In-Chief, Scott Wilkinson.

Within the first year of joining Scott Wilkinson and Associates ( the most generous and technologically advanced broker in the state) I had to hire an agent because I had too many quality prospects coming to Charlotte, and many times they chose the same week or weekend to visit and buy! Some of the reasons people like us are below:

Customers will know we are in their corner. Recently I had a customer say, "It was good to know I have a body guard here, " after he had seen me in an "earnest" discussion with a new home sales manager. No not physical, we just were not going to accept the answer this woman was giving us...thats what I like about Buyer Agency, our interests are completely aligned

And we watch your back too! In every subdivision, there are dog's, some obvious, some less so,  our job is to keep you from buying them. On every house you are interested in we compute three prices, the actual estimated market value- a hi and low, our expected sales price, and a recommended bid price. Taking your lead, based on how much you want a particular home, we negotiate from friendly to Soviet style.

Integrity Plus Competence

Words from a  few customers..."Terry assisted Mario and I with a long distance building process, which can be extremely difficult. Mr. McDonald was our eyes and ears during that time. He gave us briefings after he went to the construction site, took photos and even developed a website for us to view."

Or from a client moving from London,  "Terry took the time to understand the type of house we were looking for, even if we couldn't verbalize it ourselves at first. He was very responsive and flexible to our changing requirements with the difficulties of moving from overseas."

And last, from New York City: "Terry McDonald has not only been instrumental in helping us relocate from New York City to Cornelius, North Carolina area, but, he has become our friend and confidant. His knowledge of the real estate, relocation and construction business is immeasurable.

New Home Specialist, Peggy Washko,Commercial  and more.  Her goals? "To add value to your home buying process... to be the person you can rely on to walk with you thru the steps to owning your dream home... and be the professional that understands the industry and is positioned to stay ahead of the game." In others words, much much more than a tour guide!  Her first week with me a customer showed up unannounced, and I had a full schedule. Peggy not only helped them find the house, they had it inspected and closed it that week.  Cash is good, makes buying easy! And they loved her, like all her customers.

A few words about some of Terrys buyer agents ..."If one needs an experienced, honest, knowledgeable, and hard working Realtor, one should look for Peggy Washko."   And from another...."buying our first home has been stressful, but Peggy always finds a way to cheer me up when I'm feeling like I just want to give up. I would nominate her the Realtor of the year if I could she is AWESOME!!!!..Michael and I really appreciates her and her hard work!!"
