If you are a Met Life transferee, welcome, I am on your approved list and have already helped a handful of your people. Mobile? Check out the most powerful mobile real estate search without a download required! Our latest post, the April market report shows continuing strength in the Charlotte market, but check the details, the recovery is uneven at best across zip codes and price range.
The market turned sharply in the 2nd half of 2012, and continues this spring. In south Charlotte 11 of 11 zip codes had turned to Sellers market by year end. We have seen double digit growth in sales, month over month exceeding 125% of 2012 for the last 6 months, and price appreciation ranging from 2% to over 8% city wide.
Selling Your Home? We had a great fall/winter and spring so far – but inventory is very low! If you are considering selling your home, know that we have the best selling environment in the last 5 years. The same reasons it is a great time to buy- very low interest rates, also make it a great time to sell, and buy another home. Inventory is low, prices are up. so now is the time to get your house on the market.
We are part of Wilkinson and Associates, the 2nd largest broker in NC and we are an ERA Powered franchise as well, accessing ERA’s national and international relocation team. The team that landed MetLife! Please see our unique marketing plan to sell your home fast.

My Family’s Charlotte Relocation Story
I came to Charlotte 19 years ago from Hoboken, New Jersey just outside New York City. I spent 3 years in Hoboken, commuting to NYC as a graduate student at Columbia. I grew up in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC… I moved with my wife, 4 children and a dog to Charlotte to raise our family in the summer of 1993. Charlotte has been good to us. Our children attended both public and private schools in Charlotte. All are college graduates and live up and down the east coast.
Married more than 30 year to a teacher and now Professor of Education, I’ve been involved in education discussions for years, and will point you to the excellent resources you need to make the best choice for your children, public, charter, magnet or private. I understand the questions and concerns. The good news is that there are many good answers here, and good resources, but it will be up to you to find the best ones for your children. Currently, I’m working on a post on Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s new Superintendent, Heath Morrison.
