My Family’s Charlotte Relocation Story
I came to Charlotte 16 years ago from Hoboken, New Jersey just outside New York City. I spent 3 years in Hoboken, commuting to NYC as a graduate student at Columbia. I grew up in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC… I moved with my wife, 4 children and a dog to Charlotte to raise our family in the summer of 1993. Charlotte has been good to us. Our children attended both public and private schools in Charlotte. All are, or soon will be college graduates and our grads are employed! Yea. Married to a Professor of Education, I’ve been involved in education discussions for years, and will point you to the excellent resources you need to make the best choice for your children, public, charter, magnet or private. Now I help other families do the same thing. I understand the questions and concerns.
